The wellbeing team provide a number of different services and support strategies to help improve personal wellbeing for people with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Referral is available through one of our doctors should be it be felt that input from the wellbeing team might benefit you.
A member of the wellbeing team visits our Moulton Surgery site each week to work with patients who have been referred by our doctors.
They offer a different approach to counselling, which is focused around a therapy known as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is a talking therapy. It aims to help us look at how we feel about a situation and how this affects the way we act. In turn our actions can affect how we think and feel. By understanding this it aims to help people change their way of thinking or behavioural patterns.
