Sexually transmitted infections (STI) are passed from one person to another through unprotected sex or, in some cases, genital contact.
It only takes one episode of unprotected sex, including oral sex, to catch a STI.

Although we can offer some limited screening for STIs, if you are worried about having a STI it is best to visit a Sexual Health clinic who will be able to offer you a comprehensive range of testing. If you are worried about having a STI but don’t feel comfortable going to the Sexual Health clinic please don’t leave it, come and talk to us.
Sexual Health clinics are located in both Northampton and Kettering, with satellite clinics in Daventry and Corby. Visits to the Sexual Health clinic are entirely confidential. The clinic has a separate computer system. No notification of your visit to the clinic is made to us. The staff at the Sexual Health clinics won’t judge you and have specialist training and experience to assist you.
