If you have a chronic chest problem such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) you will be seen on an annual basis by our practice nurses to discuss how well controlled your condition is and to discuss any changes in medication. More regular reviews might be needed if your condition is not well controlled.
It is important to recognise when your chest condition is not well controlled so that you can get the right treatment. At your annual review appointment we will discuss and agree a management plan that will include steps to take if you feel that your condition is getting worse. If you are finding that you are needing to take your reliever inhaler such as Salbutamol more frequently you should arrange to see one of our doctors or nurses to discuss this.
