Asthma

Advice: All patients with asthma have at least an annual asthma review to monitor their condition, this is usually with one of our Practice Nurses. If you are using your reliever inhaler more or feel that you asthma is getting worse make an early appointment to see a GP or nurse so that treatment if needed can be started early.

Blood Tests
Who to see: Phlebotomist
Advice: Clinics are held each morning. Appointments for blood test MUST have been requested by your doctor or other health care professional. If you are in doubt please call our Patient Services team who will advise you. For fasting blood tests please have nothing to eat or drink except for water and your medication for 12 hours before your test. Please have a good drink of water before coming.

Chlamydia Testing

Advice: The practice supports the national programme to offer routine testing for chlamydia testing to people aged 15-24 years. Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted disease in the UK. You often get no symptoms but it can lead to complications. A simple urine test is available. Read more information.

Diabetes Monitoring

Advice: Routine annual clinic appointments will be sent to all our patients with diabetes. Patients are encouraged to book an appointment with our diabetes specialist nurse or their GP if they have any concerns at any other time and not to wait for their annual review.
